Hybrid:　

In biology, hybrid means the offspring of two different species mixing together to get better characteristics.

In the automotive industry, hybrid refers to an electric motor and internal combustion engine combined to produce the ultimate powertrain with minimum resource consumption.

While in Hakuhodo Malaysia, I’m utterly proud and grateful to be a “living hybrid.” I’ve been exposed to various areas of expertise: not only my main duties, account servicing, but also strategic planning and marketing.

My exciting journey with Hakuhodo started in 2013, when I worked as an account service executive handling automotive accounts. The years 2017 and 2018 were a turning point for my career, when I had the opportunity to be based at a client’s office under a secondment program. It was rather challenging for me, as I needed to switch to a corporate mindset while maintaining a creative heart to strike a balance and even create wonders.

Being part of the Hakuhodo Institute of Life and Living ASEAN (HILL ASEAN)’s ASEAN Sei-katsu-sha Forum 2019 was another career high. HILL ASEAN gathers a group of adventurous planners together to explore and study the lifestyle behaviors of ASEAN sei-katsu-sha. Again, having the chance to immerse myself in a different mindset and discover sei-katsu-sha trends together with colleagues from the Hakuhodo family was definitely an eye-opening experience.

With all the perspective I’ve gained from different experiences, and of course through working closely with our award-winning creative team, I believe I contribute to our ability to provide all-round solutions to our partners that meet everyone’s expectations.

I always enjoy being a hybrid. It challenges me to expand and explore different talents in myself and to think differently from different angles, which sometimes leads to unexpected results.
