Being adaptive to change:
Change is inevitable.
Our lives evolve and change over time and being adaptive is key to achieving our goals. As change is rapid, we need to adapt just as quickly, or maybe even be predictive. We need to be able to foresee and prepare ourselves for every change.
When I joined Hakuhodo in 2003, I needed to adapt to a culture different from what I was used to. Hakuhodo was very intriguing and I was deeply excited about how the sei-katsu-sha insight philosophy brought new ways of thinking.
In 2012, Lotus:H was established and I was assigned to lead the company and build a working culture. Being adaptive using sei-katsu-sha insight philosophy has become the culture of how we work at Lotus:H. I am certain that this culture will enable us to adapt to the changing dynamics of clients and brands, as well as to our multigenerational employees, for years to come.
At Lotus:H, we have a word for overcoming and thriving in shifting dynamics by being highly adaptable: HyperAdapt.
With this way of working, I am pleased to say that we have been able to maintain strong partnerships with various blue chip local and multinational clients and build a warm work environment within our company.
One of our most recent achievements—which I am very proud of—is a Silver Award in the Full Service Agency category at Marketing Interactive’s Agency of the Year Awards 2019
Hopefully the spirit of adaptability makes us even stronger in the coming years.
