Redefining:
I position myself as a novice in advertising because every day is a fresh start filled with new possibilities, challenges, technologies, platforms, topics, people, difficulties and things that I need to learn, big and small. The opportunity for creativity often lies within these new discoveries. Thus, I believe the trigger point of creativity is being resilient, learning how to respond to various changes and grow from them, and bravely redefining everything that we already know. I also encourage our creative teams to keep the same spirit, and to discover different possibilities and hidden gems out of their comfort zone. I believe that our responsibility is not only to provide the answers our clients expect, but also to come up with ideas beyond their expectations. When we redefine, we empower ourselves with new skills. This also in turn allows our clients and the industry itself to redefine us.
When I had the opportunity to learn the Sei-katsu-sha Insight philosophy from the Hakuhodo Institute of Life and Living, I realized that it not only looks into figures and methods, but also uses them as a foundation to create alternative solutions for society. I love the vision to “Provide alternative solutions for society,” and firmly believe that we can learn from the Sei-katsu-sha Insight philosophy to delve for more alternative solutions on multiple levels to influence the market and provide meaningful creative solutions for society and each sei-katsu-sha in Taiwan.
