Idea synopsis
Sushi Sei is an authentic Japanese restaurant in Indonesia headed by a chef from Japan. Most of its customers are Jakarta-based Japanese expatriates whose Japanese food tastes and standards are exceptionally high. Sushi Sei needed a way to communicate the freshness of its ingredients and food. A series of posters were created, designed to look like the waves of the sea. But looking closer, they are actually salmon and octopus. The copy “Flavourful Ocean” completes the posters, communicating Sushi Sei as an authentic Japanese restaurant, on par with Japan.
